What is your perfect sandwich? It is a simple peanut butter and jelly on toast? Or is it an exquisite Santa Fe chicken, sprinkled with lime and pepper?
I never seem to find the perfect sandwich, whether the problem be too much crust, or too much salt. Solution? Make your own sandwich.
There’s a new sheriff in town, and it’s Which Wich! (It’s possible that I might be a tad bit late with this food fad, but I was told that the Which Wich food chain is primarily based in the Mid-West and has only recently been introduced into the Bay Area.)
For those of you who haven’t tried Which Wich, the restaurant is essentially a build-a-bear workshop for sandwiches. The entrée designing process is simple. You’re given a paper sandwich bag that also serves as a menu, from which you mark each ingredient you would like on your sandwich, from poultry to condiments. You even have the option to grill it! I filled mine with chicken, pesto, jalapeño peppers, pickles, Sriracha, and salt. The best part: you can eat your own masterpiece.
